John Ellis
John's business did a little over $2 million this year after doing "barely" $1 million the year before, the first time it crossed seven figures in eight years. For most of those years growth was organic. When John started running his own ads, results were strong for about a year, then he hit a wall.
We kind of got hit with a big wave of low-quality spam, and from my perspective felt like the pixel got pretty tanked, and no matter what I was doing, I could not get things back on track.
He was stuck rewriting ad creative over and over, assuming the problem was the ads themselves, while trying to keep two closers' calendars full. "I would just say stressed out, spending all my time trying to figure out it," he said, and when ad quality dipped, his closers' performance dropped right along with it.
He found Lance through a lead magnet, The Hidden Hand: "If I take this PDF as complete truth, that is literally, like, exactly what I feel like has happened to me."
The biggest thing for me is we got the quality back... even our cost per booked call is a little bit higher than what I'm used to, but for me right now that's a win 'cause at least I can rely on the ads to produce a decent quality booked appointment.
My closers are back to just about their normal KPI. So that's huge.
If you feel like you need any type of guidance or structure around doing your own lead gen, then this is definitely something you want to do... it's already fixed for me just within the first couple of weeks.
